The building of our hotel was built in 1897 and has always been a hotel.
Originally called “Grand Hôtel Terminus,” the building hosted travellers looking for accommodation. Perfectly located in front of the brand-new Neuchâtel train station and offering a magnificent view over the lake and the Alps, the hotel quickly succeeded.
Completely renovated in the years 1995-1996 to eventually become the hotel Alpes and Lac de Neuchâtel that we know now, it has retained its charm of yesteryear while adding a touch of modernity, especially thanks to its important collection of modern art.
We have found various archival photos that we are happy to share with you.
